Hey Gorgeous Readers!
I've been covering beauty a lot so far this year, but I haven't forgotten beau mens fashion. ;) While womens SS15 collections are taking a lot of inspiration from the 70s, mens collections have a more 80s feel with the ton-sur-ton trend. Ton-sur-ton is french for tone on tone.

This monochromatic trend was showed in both light and dark in
Calvin Klein's collection during the SS15 Milan shows last June. Some pops of colour accented a few looks. A few tone-on-tone looks were electric tones-on-tone as seen in the orange look below for example. All of the models wore high top sneakers fitting well with the 80s vibe.
Burberry went to the extremes with bright tones in their collection, layering rich purples, reds, and teals in various fabrics including a lot of wool and velvet jackets. A bit like Calvin Klein, many models wore athletic sneakers.

On the other end of the spectrum,
Bottega Veneta went for a very subdued and airy neutral collection. The fabrics almost on a sheer side are draped and fit loosely. The silhouette of the first pair of pants below was recurring through the show. The colour palette was baby blue, white, beige, and a very light army green. The models wore cigar slippers or neutral oxfords and accessorized with oversized totes or backpacks.
Stay Fabulous,
xoxo Aimee
