Hey Gorgeous Readers!
This year I've been lucky enough to attend NYFW. In my last post I shared the unique street style in Lincoln Center (here it is if you missed it). Over the weekend I was invited to the Kati Stern Venexiana show.
European designer, Kati Stern- along with designing- is an experienced architect, pianist, and flamenco dancer. Her collections are a mix of elegance and rock-music influences. Her European fabrics are intricately embellished and detailed.
Her SS15 collection (of 57 looks) included a lot of sheer pieces, nature inspired embellishments and prints, and trains. There was a mix of plunging V-necks and high collars- but with cutouts in the side or open backs. The colour scheme ranged from metallics to bright and blush shades of pinks (including strawberry ice, a colour in Pantone's SS15 trend report), purples, and blue (like the scuba blue also included in Pantone's report).

The overall feeling of the show was fun and edgy along with the glamorous gowns with British punk and post-punk music (like Alternative TV) which fit with Kati's personality and brand perfectly.
Today I also attended the Dorin Negrau show- follow for part three of my NYFW. :)
Stay Fabulous,
xoxo Aimee ♥
What an interesting contrast between the high drama of the red carpet worthy gowns and punk rock music!

It was, but totally worked! Kati seems like she would be like Betsey Johnson in person (like if Betsey Johnson is how I imagine she is in person lol).
