Street Style Inspiration | Lately

Hey Gorgeous Readers!

Today I was totally inspired by a look I saw in line at a cafe and can't wait to re-create it. The look I saw didn't include the bag or hat, but I think they are the perfect additions. For the jeans I found a high-waist military olive pair at Mango and the top, a polka dot denim button down from Orvis. While I don't tend to do denim on denim I liked how it looked styled with the top tucked into high waist jeans in a contrasting colour. To accessorize the sunglasses and shoe were simplistic and cool. I chose these round sunnies by Ray-Ban and double decker slip ons by Keds. Then I felt like this floppy brim wool felt fedora from Rag&Bone and leather bucket bag backpack from Genuine People pulled the whole look together in a very chic way.

Lately..

1. I have been loving Springtime Carnivore. I shared her song, "Name on a Matchbook" the other day on Facebook. Her folk-rock is inspired by 60s folk and 70s pop, which I am completely in love with. I love her free-spirit and chill vibe for end-of-summer.

2. I finally got a chance to get Elizabeth and James Nirvana in Black&White which I've been wearing daily. You're supposed to apply the white as your daytime fragrance and then layer the black on top for mixed nightime fragrance. I love them mixed because it's the perfect balance of sweet, classic, and seductive. I think I have found my signature fragrance.

3. I started reading Confessions of a Wild Child by Jackie Collins which I didn't realize was actually the ninth book in the Lucky Santangelo series. This book is kind of like a pre-quel showing the narrator Lucky during her teen years at boarding school. Of course I fell in love right away because it's like Gossip Girl.. but Lucky's dad is a notorious gangster/casino owner.

Stay Fabulous,
xoxo Aimee
