Trend-Spotting | Floral Printed Jackets

Happy Monday Fashionable Guys&Girls!

Floral prints are a big trend this spring again and I've been adding some more to my closet in the form of cute sunnies and floral lace bralettes. In search of more floral I have been falling for these floral jackets...

Guys...
Y-3 Green Plant Print Hooded Windbreaker (US$575)

A couple months ago, Fashion Bomb Daily posted about Drake's awesome printed jacket and I love how bold it is (go bold or go home right?). It's so on-trend (for both urban utilitarian and bold print) and a fantastic floral and leaf print. The colours aren't too pastel or 'feminine' so I think it's totally cool. ;) Also- Drake wore it. The outside/shell is 100% nylon and the lining is 100% polyester. The hood is lined in black mesh and has a drawstring, the cuffs and hems are elasticized, and there are four zippered pockets in the front. If you're feeling really bold, wear the matching print pants (US$445).. or wear them separately.

Girls...
Mulberry Oversized Printed Leather Biker Jacket (US$4,800)

Like the men's jacket, this floral jacket mixes some of the urban utilitarian trend by using a pretty floral print in a leather biker jacket. The jacket is 100% lamb leather with a blush twill lining of 50% cotton/50% viscose and 100% polyester padding. The colour is 'biscuit brown' and I think the little purple and white flowers are so cute against it. The geckos along with the flowers are a unique addition too.

Paul & Joe Sister Ponpan Floral Biker Jacket (US$371.25)

Paul&Joe Sister mixed even more feminine print and colour with the typically edgy biker jacket. The vintage-y romantic yellow and floral print is perfect with the 'classic collar with press-stud detail' and antique gold zippers. As it's 100% cotton; it's not really too heavy for spring either.

Alexander McQueen Gold Geometric Hummingbird Jacket (US$4,295)

Alexander McQueen took the trend in a more elegant/mature way with a darker gold colour scheme.  And along with the larger white and pink flowers are cute hummingbirds. It's 53% viscose and 47% acrylic with 'McQueen shoulders' and a single covered button.

What are your favourite floral pieces this spring/summer season?

Stay Fabulous,
xoxo Aimee

  2. That's definitely a bold pick! I'm all about the go bold or go home as well. Especially when it comes to big gold statement necklaces. :)

  3. I love the Paul & Joe jacket! I was almost thrown with the concept of a floral jacket on a guy because it is such a strong style statement. But on Drake it looked great.

  14. I am a fan of floral prints just not sure I would be able to pull off the jacket look.
I may have to stick with just a shirt or maybe even pants!
Love a man who has that confidence to wear a floral jacket.

    1. Thanks dear! :) I think I would wear a floral jacket just the way the Paul&Joe Sister one is with the jeans and t-shirt. Men making a fashion statement is always fabulous.

  15. Has Alexander McQueen lost his mind? What in the world would make him think someone would want to wear a jacket with a huge hummingbird on it...and then pay $4,295 for it? That gold must be real gold, as that's the only way that jacket is worth that!

And I love litte floral sheath dresses with little cardigan sweaters over them. I realize this probably makes me a little old lady but I don't care. They're adorable and I'm glad floral is back!
